BONFIRES, FRIENDS, AND FAMILY
I don’t know why I expected to find cooler weather in Tennessee, so far it has still been pretty warm during the days. Thankfully the evenings have been cool enough for fires!
Up to this point we haven’t had a whole lot of fires, but we sure made up for it in Crossville.
We stayed in a small campground in Crossville, less then an hour from both Cookeville, where we planned to visit Aaron’s Granny, and Knoxville, where we planned to visit Aaron’s sister.
We loved that this place provided a huge fire pit and plenty of wood for everyone at campground to use, I’m pretty sure we had a fire every evening we were there.
Over the weekend we got to see Granny. Her health has been declining and we wanted to make sure we got to see her first. We had a great time chatting with her and spending time with Aaron’s cousins who live near by.
We also visited Aaron’s sister in Knoxville and got to see some of our friends who moved there from Dallas just a few years ago.
Sydney said it so well, when asked what she has liked best about this lifestyle she said, “I like getting to meet new friends!” I’ll add to that, getting to see friends and family too!
